When we waive players in this league the money is cut in half the first year, then cut in 1/4 the remaining years. I would like to implement a rule that would allow you to either: ~ combine all the years left on the deal, cut that in half into a 1-year hit in the current season. ~ keep it the same as before (1/2 first year, 1/4 every year after)
This would allow teams who have the space, to take the hit all in 1 year to get the money off the books for future seasons.
i.e. Player A has 3 years left on his deal ($4 mil/$4 mil/$4 mil) you could take the $12 mil total and take a hit of $6 mil this season when cutting them or take the hit in each season like we do now ($2 mil/$1 mil/$1 mil)

To be clear, voting for the "allow" option means BOTH of the paths noted will be allowed, correct?
